Medical disclaimer
Last updated 20 October 2026
Everything on this site, in the newsletter and on our social channels explains research for education. It isn't medical advice.
What we are not
- We're not a diagnosis service. We can't tell you whether you have PMDD, PME or any other condition.
- We're not a treatment provider. We don't recommend medicines, doses, supplements or surgery.
- We can't assess individual symptoms by email, comment or direct message.
How to use what you read here
- Research findings describe groups of people and may not apply to you.
- Don't start, stop or change any medicine or treatment because of something you read here. Take your questions, and your tracker summary, to your GP, prescriber or specialist.
- The tracker records your own pattern. It isn't a diagnostic test.
- Rebecca's own story is labelled "In my experience". It describes her path, not a recommendation for anyone else.
When to get urgent help
Seek urgent medical care for a sudden, severe headache, new neurological symptoms, fainting with an injury, chest pain, severe breathlessness or very heavy bleeding. For mental health emergencies, see crisis support.
If you need help now
If your life is at risk right now, or you don't feel you can keep yourself safe, call 999 or go to A&E. For urgent help that isn't an emergency, use NHS 111 online or call 111 and select the mental health option. You can call Samaritans free, day or night, on 116 123. If you'd rather text, text SHOUT to 85258. More crisis support
